A Nice Long Weekend

How's your weekend? We need a break after what feels like endless dissociating and other symptoms. They still happen. But we're sticking to our holistic routine. And tai chi and meditation at times help to focus a little better.

Other things that can help you to focus:

Be aware of solid things around you.
Think about other things to take your mind off trauma.
On a hot day, go swimming. Here, the highs lately have been around 78F. The pool is about 33F. And that does actually help somewhat.

The universal health coverage office says that our application is still pending. Hopefully a decision will come soon. The state high risk application was also sent in. We really don't want to go back to a system that says you have a pre-existing condition when we don't. Here, the high risk system is administered by a well-known national commercial firm. How messed up is that?

At times we still have horrible flashbacks to where we used to live. And to situations where literally everyone you thought would helped you laughed at you and treated you like s**t. It's exhausting. But you have to keep going.
