The silly "debate" about destroying the Affordable Care Act continues. In the rest of the world, health care is a human right. Here, it's about literally a war over money and power (both corporate and personal).
One important thing that all health care people should remember. Patients are not just case files that you rack and stack for maximum profit. If you don't pay attention to their concerns, that in my view is irresponsible. You just don't treat people like that. If in business you listen to the customers concerns, why can't you do the same in health? Or is it just cut throat and purely about profit?
Protect yourself.

Validation
Went to the psychiatrist earlier today. The biggest result? Validation that I'm doing the right things to try and heal overall. Now it's a referral to someone else and we'll see what happens there.
After that, it's a mix of validation and sadness, all at the same time. On the other hand, you do everything you have to to protect yourself. Because nobody else will do it for you.
As severe and horrible as my symptoms are, it's all a perfectly normal survival mechanism. I don't know where you are in your healing. Despite that, maybe that will help as you go along as well.

Staying In and Warm
How's your week been? Sorry for the gap, but it's been rough.
I'm still on benefits (got cut but for a longer period of time. It balances out?). Symptoms are still there. Lately, despair and feeling abandoned. I'm still covering all the bases I can. Having said that, at times you just sit and don't know what to do.
How do you cope? It's not my fault. I know I'm telling the truth when I talk about being a rape survivor. If others have a problem with that, that's their problem. Being a rape survivor is part of but not the defining thing about me.
Also, I'm not a failure. Keep going.
